Tour Prince Edward County, Kingston and The 1000 Islands

JUNE 29 & 30th, 2020

A one night getaway for some wine, sightseeing, cruising and fun!! 

We are heading East this time to visit some of the delights of Prince Edward County—known for its fabulous wines and beautiful scenery. Yes there will be tasting!

Lunch is included and we will dine on the Trenton waterfront at Tomasso’s Italian Grille. There are a number of choices for your entrée (you choose upon arrival) and all look delicious!  Dietary needs will be accommodated. 

There will be a guided tour of Kingston upon our arrival. It’s not just jails!! It was the capitol of Canada not once but twice, before Ottawa got the job! Steeped in history and adorned with flowers it will be perfect for a stroll on the walkway by the lake. 

The Holiday Inn Kingston-Waterfront Hotel will be home for the night and includes a breakfast on Tuesday morning before we head out for Gananoque. The Hotel is centrally located at the waters edge, with everything within walking distance. Restaurants and shopping are all right there.

From there will be a 2 1/2 hr. cruise, through “nearly all” of the beautiful 1000 Islands. We will cruise over sunken shipwrecks while side-scan sonar image brings these perilous stories to life. We will pass the majestic Boldt Castle (a truly wonderful love story) and see the lavish homes of the rich and famous on “Millionaire's Row’.  

Lunch is on your own in Kingston and then Prince Edward County awaits with a winery for tasting and a stop at The Lake on the Mountain. It is 60 meters above Lake Ontario with views of the Bay of Quinte and the North Shore. Very picturesque!

Then we are homeward bound, returning to our pick up point in the evening.

June 29 & 30th, 2020

Monday June 29:

Depart and proceed eastbound. Coffee stop on the way. Lunch will be on the Trenton waterfront. We will continue on to Kingston and pick up a step on guide to tell us all about the highpoints of Kingston. We will check into our hotel and the rest of the day, evening and dinner is on your choice. 

Tuesday June 30th:

Breakfast at hotel and check out. Today we Cruise through the 1000 Islands before we make a lunch stop (on own) in Kingston we venture to Prince Edward County for wine tasting and a visit to The Lake on the Mountain. Heading homeward there will be a rest stop at the Big Apple. (washrooms & food on your own).

We will return in the evening to our pick up.

Tour includes: Deluxe Coach Transportation; Venues as outlined; 1 lunch;            

1   winery stop; 1 breakfast; 1 night at the Holiday Inn Kingston-Waterfront Hotel;    

2   1/2 hr. Cruise of the Thousand Islands; Visit to the Lake on the Mountain;
