Topic: "Veterans with A Vision: Canada’s War Blinded in Peace and War"

Jim Sanders is a Past president and continuing member of our Club. About 10 years ago he retired from a 42-year career with Canadian National Institute for the Blind, (CNIB). He has served as Executive Director for The Sir Arthur Pearson Association of War Blinded (SAPA) since 1989. He represents SAPA on the National Council of Veteran Associations, an organization co-founded by SAPA along with the War Amputees of Canada some eighty years ago. Although, there are no War Blinded Canadian Veterans still living, SAPA continues to be an advocate through The National Council of Veteran Associations in Canada (NCVA) for Federal services and support to all disabled veterans.
